The 2024 high season has just come to a close and it has been another amazing summer of activities in Newquay.
Our end of summer staff parties have become legendary around town. Previous events have included;
- Being towed, by a jet boat around Newquay bay on our Super Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP).
- A crew of blind folded ‘pirates’ enjoying kayak races across the beaches.
This year we mixed it up again! We planned our end of summer party to tie in with the biggest high tide of the year at The Gannel Estuary. We then launched our Super SUP on to the water way. Attached to the Super Sup via tow lines were a series of blow up rubber rings. Some of our team chilled in the rubber rings, while others paddled down the estuary. There was a huge ice bin full of cool drinks, a waterproof music system, an incredible sunset and the vibes were high!
The evening culminated in some awesome end of summer awards where we recognised the amazing performances of our team. Results were as follows:
Instructors Instructor of the Year – Alex Warrington @alexwarrington_03
Customers Instructor of the Year – Sean Nugent @nu_gsurf
Most Improved Instructor – Cara Sanderson @carajs1234
Office Staff Instructor of the Year – Sarah Bystrum @Outvanabout.sb
The crew have settled in to the slightly slower pace of autumn and between activity sessions have been enjoying the regular winter swells.
