Bodyboard Lesson & Hire

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Our Bodyboard Lesson & Half-Day Hire package is broken down into two parts. Each section gives you the opportunity to gain experience in bodyboarding and boost your confidence in the water. Depending on availability and swell size, you may have your lesson in the morning or the afternoon. We always keep an eye on the surf forecast and optimise your learning around the best ocean conditions.

THE LESSON

You will receive an enjoyable and supportive first-rate bodyboard lesson from our qualified and experienced coaches. The lessons are designed to match your riding ability and progressively build your bodyboarding confidence. No previous experience is necessary as our expert instructors are there to help you every step of the way. Our bodyboarding lessons in Newquay are an ideal way to soak in expert tuition from some of Europe’s best bodyboard instructors – all within a safe and friendly environment!

During your lesson you will learn about ocean & beach safety, including identifying hazards and how to avoid them. You’ll also be familiarised with your bodyboarding equipment and how each independent component works. On the water you will learn how to catch waves, how to increase speed and how to trim correctly. If you’re feeling confident, why not let our instructors teach you some epic moves such as the 360º spin or barrel roll!

HALF-DAY HIRE

A half-day hire of our top quality bodyboarding equipment either before or after your lesson. Your helpful instructors will identify the best beach for your ability and provide you with the correct equipment to either familiarise yourself or consolidate your learning. Don’t worry if you can’t remember everything from your lesson, our coaches are there to share top tips with you before you set off. And don’t forget to update us on your adventures at the end of the day!

WHO IS THE BODYBOARD LESSON & HIRE FOR?

This bodyboard lesson is open to anyone and everyone. The great thing about this package is that it gives you the opportunity to spend almost an entire day in the water, learning and consolidating as you go. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or absolute beginner, everyone is welcome!

Please note: Children under the age of 8 are more than welcome to bodyboard with us, however, they must be accompanied by an adult and book onto one of our Private or Family Bodyboard Lessons.

We don’t send our customers out on bodyboards that we wouldn’t be happy to ride ourselves; that’s why we only invest in the best quality equipment available on the market. We supply first-rate bodyboards, wetsuits and swim fins on our bodyboard lessons, putting you in the best possible position to kick-start your learning.

Our helpful instructors will provide you with the correct size bodyboard for your weight, the right size wetsuit for your height and the best fitting swim fins for your feet. This top-quality kit enables faster progression, bigger improvements and makes for an all-round more enjoyable lesson.

All equipment including wetsuits, bodyboards, ID vests and swim fins are provided along with changing facilities and safe storage for your valuables. We also have on-site lockers for bags and clothes so you don’t have to leave your gear unattended on the beach!

Our purpose-designed centre, conveniently located near Towan beach, is your one-stop shop for ocean adventure activities in Newquay. We’re not in the business of just making a quick buck. We have hot showers, heated changing rooms, lockers, separate male & female toilets and clothing storage. We also have a hire centre for all of your needs after your lesson.
