THE ULTIMATE SUPER SUP EXPERIENCE

Go head-to-head in a winner takes all paddle race across the turquoise waters of Newquay bay! Push your corporate day out to its limits and test your mental and physical prowess while you race against each other and navigate your way around our ocean course. Anything goes in our fun-filled super SUP races; expect smiles, splashes, sly tactics and speed!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

On arrival at our Newquay Activity Centre HQ, our friendly staff will split your workforce into two teams; the healthy competition begins immediately! They will then kit you out with a warm and comfortable Rip Curl wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and paddle before introducing you to our giant-sized stand up paddle board. Once you’re fully equipped with a racing vessel and a ferocious team name, we’ll move down to the ocean where our experienced instructors will go through the fundamentals of SUPing. You will learn the basics in launching, landing, effective paddle strokes (on your knees and standing up), SUP steering and control.

We launch and land from two of Newquay’s lush, semi-secret coves. The start to experience is an adventure, as we walk down a rock path to the water’s edge. It’s worth it as the scenery is breath taking, there is some incredible coastal wildlife in the area, and you really are experiencing the best of Newquay’s coastal fringe. We take the walk down to the water slowly, the Super SUP will be waiting in the cove for you.

Following the waterside tutorial we’ll give each group the opportunity to put theory into practice with a leisurely paddle & super SUP surf session. You will head out around Newquay’s beautiful Towan headland soaking in the unique views as you go. But enjoy the tranquillity while it lasts …no sooner are you gliding effortlessly past local marine life than you are going head to head against your colleagues in a series of silly SUP games! These could include Sumo SUP, King or Queen of the SUP, SUP Spinning and Drunken Sailor to name a few.

HEALTHY COMPETITION AND TEAM SPIRIT

Warmed up, soaking wet and having bonded your workforce for life, it’s time to make your way to the start line beside your racing rivals on SUP number two. Depending on your preference, you’ll either race your opponent or race the clock. The next few moments will be a blur of physical exertion, laughter and under hand tactics (where your paddles become pugil sticks) as you race around our course marker and back, some 200m out to sea.

Whether you cross the finish line by paddling or sculling your adversary’s SUP, victory can only be awarded with everyone on board. Leave no man behind! Either way, we guarantee giggles galore and a full body work out like no other! Needless to say there can only be one winner, and those deserved victors will walk away with the ultimate office bragging rights… until next year!
