NEWQUAY NIGHTLIFE – WHERE TO FIND COCKTAILS, PINTS AND SCRUMPY

Newquay is notorious for having some of the best bars, pubs and clubs in Cornwall and most are just a few minutes walk from each other. Why not begin your evening at Fistral beach bar, with a 180-degree panorama from Towan Headland across to Pentire. From the west-facing Beach Bar you’ll catch the perfect sunset view and see the tide make it’s way across Fistral’s sandy expanse.

Newquay’s town centre is just a 10-minute walk around the golf course from here where you’ll find the hub of bars and clubs.

For some classy cocktails or a relaxed snifter before the evening begins, check out 55 Yards just up from the high street before descending down into the hype of Sailors Pub and Barefoot on the Beach and WhiskersWalkabout and Weatherspoons can also be found in the same vicinity just one minute’s walk from each other along with a few food vendors for late night munchies.  Our customers receive a discount card for Walkabout, Barefoot on the Beach and more great spots.  You’ll receive your card upon completion of your activity.

It may be a cliché, but you cannot beat an oven fresh pasty to warm your fingers, fill your belly and brighten your day. They’re perfect post-surf, ‘pre-party’ to line your stomach, morning-after to replenish your strength and the rest of the time to curb ‘hangry’ moments.

Other great places for breakfasts and all day bites is Barefoot on the Beach above our base at Towan Beach, the Beached Lamb CaféSprout Health Foods, or the Pavilion Café and Bakery if you need a refresh from the night before.

COFFEE IN NEWQUAY

STAG AND HEN DO ACTIVITIES IN NEWQUAY, CORNWALL: OUR TOP CHOICES

During a weekend of merriment, nothing is more refreshing than a dunk in the sea and some salt on your skin. It’s the traditional Cornish way. We offer a smorgasbord of water activities but if the water doesn’t take your fancy, make the most of the beach with an afternoon on Towan’s flat, pristine sands. Our Lifeguarding Challenge demands your best Baywatch impressions, beach football and volleyball will flex your muscles with your Stag or Hen Do and both are a great tonic to recover from the night before. But if you’ve got the adventure bug, check out our three core water classics and brand new activities with your friends and family.

STAG AND HEN SURFING

Surfing is extremely addictive so prepare to get hooked. There are plenty of opportunities for hilarity as you trial and error the techniques of getting to your feet from popping up on the sand, to bailing from your board in the water. Key things to remember: The water will catch you when you wipe-out, you don’t have to go any deeper than waste-depth water unless you feel comfortable, the instructors will be on hand at all times to give you constructive guidance and occasionally tip the stag or hen off their boards.

STAG AND HEN BODYBOARDING

The perfect alternative to stand-up surfing, bodyboarding is easier to learn but just as demanding to master. Whatever the age or ability of your family and friends, bodyboarding will guarantee everyone gets a wave within the first five minutes of your lesson. Our bodyboarding school is the only one in Europe so once you’ve learnt the basics, your expert instructor will progress you on to using fins for speed and techniques for progressing the length of your rides.

STAG AND HEN INDIVIDUAL SUP or SUPER STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING

Our coastline is a hotspot for biodiversity and historical legend; one side open to the powerful Atlantic swells and the other sheltered with deep smugglers caves. From the deck of our stand-up paddleboard, the water’s surface becomes a window to the tranquil reef life below… until someone falls in and takes everyone down with them.

Whatever your style, chaotic competitions or relaxed, sunset paddles, we’ve got your back and the perfect tailored experience to suit.

We offer individual boards and Super SUP adventures for all group sizes and ages, to make sure you experience something new in the most enjoyable way. Some will master it and some will have horrendous balance, but we guarantee some top-notch banter whilst your work as a team to navigate the Super SUP or master your own board.

STAG AND HEN COASTEERING

Coasteering gives you the satisfying opportunity to defy some the rules your parents made when you went to the seaside. With our experienced, professional instructors you will leap off rocky ledges into deep-water plunge pools, swim through natural rapids, scramble along the cliff base and navigate the inter-tidal zone using correct techniques.

Together you’ll traverse one of nine coasteer routes in the sheltered Gazzle section of Newquay’s coastline, finding whirlpools to ride and naturally formed chimneys to climb. You couldn’t get more hands-on, tackling the ultimate adventure around our wildlife rich coastline tailored for maximum adrenalin or low intensity wildlife and heritage based. Contact our team to discuss what option would be best for you and the group.

STAG AND HEN SUPER SUP COASTEER

The ultimate adventure combo and our favourite activity to brag about, the Super SUP Coasteer combo is the perfect options for a group who likes to get stuck in. You’ll work as a team to navigate secret parts of Newquay craggy coastline, paddling the craft into smugglers caves and tea caverns before mooring up for a series of hilarious games.

Then clambering up onto our famous coasteering routes to take on the ledge leaps and natural rapids. Before congratulating yourselves with a complimentary bottle of fizz.

STAG AND HEN KAYAK TOUR NEWQUAY

Learning to balance in a kayak, getting to grips with the equipment, learning paddle strokes and then heading off on an adventure around Newquay’s breathtaking coastline takes some beating. Our qualified, experienced instructor team will pitch the session to suit the dynamic of your group. You decide if you want to place some team games, challenge the stag and best man to king of the kayak or if you’d prefer a more leisurely Newquay kayak tour enjoying the coast.
