STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING TAILORED TO YOU
First up is a full safety briefing to familiarise all students with the geography and landscape around Newquay. Next up, pupils will learn the basic skills of balancing, paddling and manoeuvring the SUP from the relative comfort of the beach. This will help to fully consolidate the start of the lesson without too many splashes!
Once equipped with the basics, we will launch our stand up paddle boards from the sheltered sands of Towan Beach and head out around the coastline. We will paddle into caves and caverns that once played host to real pirates and smugglers. Sharing stories of Newquay’s dramatic past as we go, history will come bursting to life through our passionate and experienced instructor. We’ll also keep an eye out for wildlife and students may even be treated to some close ups of inquisitive seals and local dolphins!
We launch and land from two of Newquay’s lush, semi-secret coves. The start to experience is an adventure, as we walk down a rock path to the water’s edge. It’s worth it as the scenery is breath taking, there is some incredible coastal wildlife in the area, and you really are experiencing the best of Newquay’s coastal fringe. We take the walk down to the water slowly, the paddleboards will be waiting in the cove for you.
