The England team were watched intently by coach Eddie Jones as they competed in each of the events. Many of the players are still fighting for their place in the team and could be seen giving the activities 110%. Their competitive spirit and sheer determination shone through as they embraced new challenges in pairs, groups of 4 and separate teams of 8.

Following on from our involvement in Cornwall 365’s Cultural Canapes event, Rob has been recognised for promoting Cornwall’s heritage and culture. Through Cornwall 365, he worked with a local historian to gain further insight into the local history of Newquay. This input helped inform Newquay Activity Centre’s activities including our Heritage Coasteer, Heritage SUP and Kayak tours.

Ellie’s kayak tour took her along the cliff lines to the iconic Tea Caverns – a set of caves where local smugglers hid tea, brandy and cotton. On her way back to Newquay Activity Centre, she saw a unique perspective of the town’s 14th century landmark, the ‘Huer’s Hut’ which was used as a look out for sign of pilchards.
