Fistral Surf Diner
As well as having one of the best surf schools, Cornwall hotspot Fistral beach is home to this cool dining destination. Downstairs you will find all of the surfing equipment that you will need during your stay and upstairs you can enjoy American classics such as waffles, burgers, and shakes. There is a ‘little dudes’ menu for young diners and you can catch a few beers at sundown.
The Boat House
The Boast House is situated on Newquay Harbour and it has one of the best reputations for serving seafood. Nothing beats spending the day out at sea and returning to enjoy fresh fish and chips or seafood platters, mmmm!
Bodhi’s Beach Cafe and Bistro
Newquay is renowned for its laid-back atmosphere and slower pace of life, which is summed up in Bodhi’s beach cafe. This simple cafe can be found on a neat spot on Fistral beach and it serves up everything from all-day breakfasts to lovely homemade cakes.
For something a little more classy, Lewinnick Lodge serves modern Mediterranean cooking as well as classic afternoon tea and lobster—all of the ingredients that make for a delicious foodie weekend.
If you like your food served in a relaxed and unfussy setting, you can grab an all day breakfast or a burger alongside a great pint as you wind day after a day of surfing. This place is open until late and is a fun place for hanging out with fellow surfers to share experiences of the day.
The Fish House
Once a head chef for Rick Stein, Paul Harwood, opened The Fish House in 2014 and it is going from strength to strength. As expected, this restaurant serves up fresh fish and seafood at a great price. The fish curry is a favourite among the regulars and hungry tourist head to this place when they fancy a little treat.
The Breaks Bar
This is a favourite hangout for locals and returning tourists who cannot get enough of the Newquay surf. The owners pride themselves on serving local produce, including homemade bread from Baker Tom’s Bread and pies from Grumpies of Cornwall.
