Environmental Policy

Newquay Activity Centre (NAC) is a multi-activity provider based in Newquay, Cornwall.

Newquay Activity Centre is committed to the continual improvement of our environmental performance and environmental management, and to the prevention of pollution arising from our business activities.

We will comply with all applicable environmental legislation, regulations and other relevant requirements relating to our environmental impacts, together with recognised codes of practice and, where reasonably practicable, accepted best practice in environmental management.

We are committed to:

  • Implementing energy-saving technologies and initiatives wherever reasonably practicable
  • Adopting strategies to reduce the environmental impact of business travel
  • Using utilities responsibly and efficiently to minimise negative environmental impact
  • Managing waste in accordance with our duty of care, reducing waste sent to landfill through reuse and recycling wherever possible
  • Purchasing supplies and materials, where possible, that are recycled, recyclable, and produced in a way that minimises the use of natural resources
  • Conserving resources by ensuring that our buildings, equipment and fittings are properly maintained and aligned with relevant environmental guidance
  • Communicating this policy, and our environmental performance, to relevant employees, contractors and other persons working for or on behalf of the organisation
  • Working with contractors and suppliers who share a commitment to responsible environmental practices, continual improvement and pollution prevention

 

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains relevant to the nature and scale of our operations and supports our ongoing commitment to improving environmental performance.
