The Ultimate Adventure!

With such a wide selection of activities to try here at Newquay Activity Centre, it can be tricky to choose just one. So we’ve combined three of our favourites to create the ultimate coastal adventure!

You’ll explore above AND below the water around Towan Headland’s epic coastline. Armed with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and snorkel, you’ll be ready to launch the giant SUP and paddle to your starting point.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

You’ll work as a group to navigate along the coastline, paddling into smugglers caves and around rocky outcrops. Your instructor will teach you about different paddle strokes and how certain techniques effectively move the Super SUP towards your destination. Once the moves are mastered, it’s time for some fun and games before diving into the water to explore beneath the ocean’s surface.

Snorkelling

There are over 80 marine species to be found in and around the Gazzle, a sheltered stretch of coastline just minutes from our activity centre. Its rugged shoreline and underwater gullies host flora and fauna of every size, from friendly native seals, to lobsters, sea bass and starfish. Snorkels allow us to investigate this incredible underwater world! Come and explore our awesome dive sites with us.

With the paddleboard moored up just behind you, the next cove to explore is just a two-minute paddle or coasteer away!

Please note: Although we always aim to experience snorkelling as best we can, sometimes Mother Nature has other ideas for us! If water visibility is low during your session, we will always provide more time on the Super SUP or with coasteering activities.

Coasteering

Coasteering lets you get hands on with the craggy routes around Newquay; combining low-level rock climbing, traversing, wild swimming and ledge leaping into deep-water plunge pools. Using the moored Super SUP as a base, you’ll coasteer along sections of the route, climbing and jumping into natural plunge pools throughout the coast.
