Go Supersized!

Why stick to just one activity when you can do two? Aimed at families looking to take their together-time to the max, this supersized safari hits the spot at every level. Adrenaline, discovery, games, education…it’s got all that going on, plus more!

We’ll start out at our HQ just above Towan Beach to get you togged up, then it’s time for an energetic warm up before an in-depth ocean safety brief. After that it’s time for a practice run-through covering all the paddle strokes, kit and manoeuvres. Next up, let’s hit the water!

Coastal Family Fun

One, two, three…everybody scramble onto the super SUP and gets paddling. Laugh-till-you-cry moments will come in by the bucket load while you work as a family to get your strokes in sync and head out around the bay towards the Gazzle. This beautiful 2km stretch of coastline is rich in both looks and character. It’s also home to an exciting array of nooks, crannies, caves and caverns. You’ll navigate the board around this rocky playground and hear tales of its smuggling and shipwrecking past.

Let The Games Commence

The whole family will be in and out of the water as we turn the SUP into a dive board for a series of games and competitions. Who can make the biggest splash? Who’s going to be the last person standing? If past experience is anything to go by, it won’t be Mum and Dad; our youngest adventurers always seriously impress in this ‘King or Queen of the SUP’ activity.

An Underwater World Of Wonder

Things slow down for our second activity. With snorkel masks on we descend into the underwater marine ecosystem below. As you explore this conservation area and protected seahorse breeding site, look out for fish, crabs, seals, starfish and lobsters.

There’s also the option to explore Cribbar Reef, a renowned big wave surfing spot in the winter months. More often than not though, it is a tranquil home to the rich array of reef loving wildlife. Just a stone’s throw from the Gazzle, there’s no better place to see Newquay’s rocky reef structure and incredible marine habitats.

Paddle closer into the headland and you’ll be in the cove of Little Fistral, just 200 metres along from the world famous Fistral Beach. Its rock pools and lagoons host an abundance of miniature sea life and with the iconic Headland Hotel overlooking the snorkel site, it’s a view like no other.
