We’re on the hunt for a Centre Assistant to join our operations team here at Newquay Activity Centre. As a Centre Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of the crew — helping our instructors and guests have an unforgettable experience by keeping everything behind the scenes running smoothly.
From managing equipment and setting up sessions, to greeting customers and keeping the centre looking sharp, your role is hands-on, energetic, and full of variety. You’ll also have the chance to step up and cover key Supervisor tasks when needed, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and grow in the industry.
What you’ll be doing:
- Helping launch surf, coasteering and paddle sessions
- Keeping kit organised, clean and ready for action
- Welcoming guests and helping them with wetsuit hire
- Assisting with bookings and enquiries
- Following daily centre processes and helping with close-down
- Stepping up when Supervisors are off-site or in-session
What we’re looking for:
- A friendly, can-do attitude
- Someone confident working outdoors (yes, even in drizzle!)
- A great communicator who thrives in a team
- Interest in watersports or outdoor activities
- Someone who takes pride in doing a job well

- Duration: Seasonal role
- Approx. 30–37.5 hours per week
