Force Development Activities

The Newquay Activity Centre is becoming increasingly popular as the place to partake in Adventurous Training. With a whole host of activities to push the boundaries and stretch comfort zones more and more military groups are signing up for day or weekly activity itineraries here in Newquay. Our ideally situated centre means we are a stones throw from both the fantastic surfing waves of Fistral Beach as well as the stunning cliff line, deep water leaping ledges and aquatic assault course that is Towan Headland. Activities including Surfing, Bodyboarding, Coasteering, Kayaking, Mountain Biking and Beach based Challenge pursuits are being delivered on a daily basis.

Surfing and Coasteering for Military Groups

In April we had members of 21 Fd Sqn (EOD) join us for a full program of activities primarily focusing on surfing with an epic adrenalin fuelled coasteer session to round off the trip.  Group leader LCpl Ritchie Wilkin wrote a fantastic review in this month’s Redwing magazine that commended our instructors as well as highlighting what a great place the Newquay Activity Centre is for Adventurous Training. LCpl Ritchie Wilkin wrote, “For anyone who hasn’t tried this yet, I can whole heartedly recommend this as a viable option for any future team building or adventure training activities”.

Our AT packages pinpoint key areas and exercises that offer a wide variety of challenges and teambuilding scenarios. Many military groups choose to stay in Newquay for an entire week in order to make the most of the different routes and courses that are available.

With 40% discount for all military groups, the question is, when are you going to book up?

We were thrilled to receive such a great review from the group who were buzzing by the end of their week in Newquay. We look forward to having them back for more AT in the not so distant future!

Sensational Spring In Newquay

April in Newquay was all blue skies and calm seas. From beginner surf sessions to scenic kayak tours and snorkel adventures, see what made this Easter break one to remember.

Marine Wildlife Cornwall.

Newquay Wildlife – 80 Marine Species Spotted While Coasteering in Cornwall!

On rare occasions throughout the year we get super low tides that recede a lot further than usual uncovering parts of this beautiful coastline that normally go unseen. Both the general public and CWT members were treated to a very special coasteer team that included Marine Awareness Officer Matt Slater and local Eco Coasteer legend Karl Fice-Thomson. Due to the extreme low tide it was predicted that an area already abundant in wildlife would prove extra special with rock pools and caves normally inaccessible a likely haven to different species.
