Spring Vibes and Saltwater Smiles - April Adventures in Newquay

April 2025 has delivered exactly what we live for in Newquay. Clear skies, gentle swells, and calm conditions made this Easter break one of the best we’ve seen in years. From family surf lessons to glassy kayak tours, our guests have been experiencing all the Newquay has to offer.

This blog is a celebration of that sunshine. A look at some of the stunning conditions our team have captured of our beautiful surroundings, whilst hosting paddleboarding, snorkelling, coasteering and surf lessons.

Calm Seas and Clean Waves

April served up small, clean waves that were ideal for beginners learning to surf. With mild temperatures and low wind, the sea was perfect for exploring by paddleboard or kayak. Our Adventure Gully Coasteers also made the most of the conditions, offering safe and exciting routes through caves and ledges.

It was the perfect time to try something new on the Cornish coast.

Newquay Wildlife – 80 Marine Species Spotted While Coasteering in Cornwall!

On rare occasions throughout the year we get super low tides that recede a lot further than usual uncovering parts of this beautiful coastline that normally go unseen. Both the general public and CWT members were treated to a very special coasteer team that included Marine Awareness Officer Matt Slater and local Eco Coasteer legend Karl Fice-Thomson. Due to the extreme low tide it was predicted that an area already abundant in wildlife would prove extra special with rock pools and caves normally inaccessible a likely haven to different species.
