Lead coasteer guide at the Newquay Activity Centre, Johnny Fryer was our representative at the first ever Coasteer Guide Award. The course involved a one day safety and rescue course, three-day guide award and a fast track combined course.

Coasteering TrainingJohnny developed his skills and will now be presenting to other Newquay Activity Centre staff.

Not only did Johnny report that he learned new techniques, networked with some other coasteer leaders to share ideas but he also felt that he came out of the course with more confidence. “I’ve been coasteering for 9 years and deliver the experience on a daily basis but I still value other instructors opinion’s and at the NAC we are constantly trying to raise standards through out the industry” commented Fryer.
