Earlier this month Newquay Activity Centre had the pleasure of planning and hosting an event for Christian Dior, and it evolved into possibly the most epic day of beach games in NAC history.

Newquay Activity Centre has delivered team building sessions for some big names in the past, including the England Rugby team, and it’s this track record of delivering top notch training and high energy, fun filled events that led to this collaboration between Newquay Activity Centre, Christian Dior & the Carbis Bay Hotel.

Our Team Providing Corporate ActivitiesA team of 7 NAC staff travelled down to Carbis Bay for the event which was for 100 members of the Dior Homme, J’adore, Miss Dior, and Savage sales teams – possibly the best smelling customers we’ve ever had.

Based on our incredible Cornish Castaway activity, we devised 6 unique, ocean and beach based games that required communication, leadership and teamwork. With a mixture of physical and mental challenges this was The Crystal Maze meets Gladiators, with a bit of high fashion thrown in for good measure.

Games such as “The sand is lava” and “Catch the egg” had people in tears of laughter, our “ lifeguard fancy dress” was ridiculous beyond words, and the tug of war brought out the competitive streak in everyone. The final event of ‘Save Wilson’ inspired by the film Castaway saw an amazing paddling race to decide the whether. Such an epic climax.

As with everything in life, you get out what you put in, and hats off to the Christian Dior crew who really threw themselves into it with gusto and enthusiasm. They had an absolute blast, and so did we. Beach games will never be the same again!
