We’ve been working with the military for many years in Cornwall to support their adventure training and water sports teams. With an emphasis on teamwork and stretching boundaries, our activities are adrenaline fuelled coastal adventures designed to provide a great time.
In the past we have offered a free activity day to families based at RAF St Mawgan, but in 2017, we’re happy to announce that we’ll be developing this!
“We’re looking forward to hosting the military families for two fun days of activities in 2017,” said Newquay Activity Centre Director, Rob Barber.
“We’ll be offering surf lessons and coasteering: two activities with embedded ocean based learning and safety messages for the groups. Having offered this event previously, we are looking to delivering it annually and free of charge, to give back to the military community that we work so closely with.”
RAF Flight Sergeant, Simon Keeble said: “Service families often find themselves moving every few years to an area they are not familiar with, and we are really pleased to be able to minimise the disruption to their lives by working with Newquay Activity Centre to introduce them to the unique, fantastic opportunities that Cornwall’s coastline provides.”
“We hope that our newly arrived families will be inspired by having a taste of what Cornwall has to offer, thanks to Newquay Activity Centre, and will seek to do more in their own time as there is so much to see and do!”
