Recent summer storms sent high winds and big swells our way, and the unusually wild conditions caught a few people out.
Jacob, one of our lead instructors, was enjoying an evening surf when he noticed a member of the public in serious distress. After following protocol, he carried out an in water rescue and successfully helped the person to safety. Jacob is a home grown talent;Â he came through our Outdoor Activity Instructor Academy, and is now a leading figure within the Newquay Activity Centre and Bodyboard Holidays instructing team. He i s a true waterman and has proven his skills in and out of the water countless times.
We train to be able to react to any situation we are faced with in or out of work. Well done Jacob and the team for keeping our waters safe. These guys are never off duty.
