19 Feb Newquay Activity Centre Charity Coasteer to HELP IZZY WALK
Newquay Activity Centre is calling all charity fundraisers and ocean adventurers!
We are raising money to ‘HELP IZZY WALK’ AND WE NEED YOU, YOUR FAMILY AND ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS, to join in on the coasteer or sponsor someone to do it!
So who’s in?
We are raising money for our friend, 5 year old Izzy Pearce, who is one of identical twins and has Cerebral Palsy Spastic Diplegia. This means she has increased muscle tone and her legs are constantly stiff, she suffers from pain and also has difficulty with leg movements, coordination and balance. We need to help Izzy’s family raise £80,000 for a life changing operation which will allow her to sing and dance, pain free, with her sister.
At 11am on Sunday 28th Newquay Activity Centre’s coasteering experts will be guiding the hardy fundraisers around Towan head. The group will learn climbing, scrambling, caving, low level climbing and ultimately jump into the cool Cornish seas to raise money for Izzy. It will be an amazing coasteering experience that you will all enjoy and better still, it’s all for IZZY!
Each participant will be asked to pay £50 to take part (but what ever contribution can be afforded will be accepted). We urge fundraisers to gain sponsorship from others to try to increase the amount that they can give. All proceeds go to Izzy’s fund.
The coasteer will be lead by Newquay legend Karl Fice-Thomson who is always guaranteed to put on an incredible show!
After the coasteer, the fundraisers will get changed and head to the Carnmarth Hotel where there will be a raffle, hot drinks and Sunday roast dinners. For all food and beverage purchased, a percentage will go towards Izzy’s fund.
If you can’t support the coasteer, please contribute to the fundraising effort here:
