The Newquay summer carnival is always a buzzing event full of creative floats and acts from the local businesses and organizations in the area. The Newquay Activity Centre has entered the carnival for the last three years representing our activities, lifeguarding skills and general passion for water sports in a variety of ways. From bongo playing surf instructors, to lifeguards in speedos we’ve done it all!
This year’s event was the best yet with a whole host of great ideas and creativity being brought to the streets of Newquay. The event was made even better when we were presented with a first prize for the best presentation in the Newquay Business category! We did not expect to win the award due to the stiff competition but our energy and enthusiasm seemed to get us over the line.
Although having some fun along the way it is our aim at the Newquay Activity Centre to work with the community in any way we can to help raise the town’s growing profile for tourism and local spirit.
