It was a happy day at the Newquay Activity Centre on Wednesday August 3 when it was announced that Surfing was going to be an Olympic sport in Tokyo 2020.
Surfers from all over the world with competitive aspirations have now got even more of a reason to raise their game. Surfers that are new to the sport will get to see how the very best of the best do it in the world’s biggest sporting event.
As ambassadors of surfing in the UK, Newquay Activity Centre was asked to comment on the developments. Check out the coverage of centre director Rob Barber talking to Spotlight news and Talksport radio about the inclusion.
