Move over Superman, when it comes to learning to surf Lois Lane has only got eyes for us. That’s right – Teri Hatcher who starred as the leading lady in The New Adventures of Superman, and more recently as Susan Mayer in Desperate Housewives, joined us for private surf tuition.
In the capable hands of our owner, Rob, Teri proved to be a natural. She was taught paddling, board control and balance techniques and It wasn’t long before she was mastering the wave action. She loved it so much that she caught the surfing buzz and came back for more the next day!
“It was great to have a Hollywood actress learn to surf with us,” says Rob. “Teri loved Towan Beach and is a huge fan of the Cornish coast. By her third wave Teri was up on her feet riding towards the shore. We had a couple of awesome sessions and like most of our students Teri now has the surfing buzz!”
Teri joined us during a break in filming her YouTube series Van Therapy which follows her as she explores Cornwall in a camper van hired from our super stylish friends at The Cornwall Camper Company.
