Creatures of the Sea – Eco Coasteer Exploration May 8th 2016

Newquay Activity Centre has teamed up with Cornwall Wildlife Trust (CWT) to present an exploration of the caves and gullies of Newquay’s Towan head on May 8th. In an adrenaline filled rock pooling and coasteering session the group will be lead by local legend Karl Fice-Thompson and CWT marine officer Matt Slater who will provide expert guidance and knowledge. This special event will take in the super spring low tide, which will enable the intrepid group to discover some of the coast’s most incredible coastal creatures. Newquay Activity Centre Head Instructor, Fice-Thompson commented: “This incredible low tide will offer unique conditions for us to get deep into the coastal caves and be presented with rock pools that are teaming with life. We’ll be Clambering over rocks and through caves, discovering and seeing nature in its own undisturbed habitat. It will be an awesome way to get up close and personal with our coastal wildlife. A must for nature lovers and great fun for families, groups and individuals.”

The Eco Coasteer will be 2 hours long, all equipment will be included and the price is £27 for CWT members and £35 for none members. Call 01637 877722 to book your place now.
