Learn To Stand Up Paddle Board!

With the correct safety advice and instruction, stand up paddle boarding is quick and easy to learn. First, our instructors teach you the basics on the bank of the river, then the tour kicks off with a unique and relaxing perspective from which to view Newquay’s breathtaking Gannel Estuary.

Starting out on your knees, you will get a feel for this exciting new sport before advancing to a stand-up position when you feel safe and confident to do so. We’re committed to an entirely relaxed and pressure-free environment so feel free to take things at your own pace. Our instructors are there to guide you with a step-by-step lesson in how to progress from kneeling to standing.

Our Private River SUP Tours have been designed to teach you many core skills including how to launch and land, stand up and balance, hold your paddle, perform basic strokes and how to make directional changes.

Bespoke River SUP Experience – You Set The Agenda!

Our friendly instructors know everything about the River Gannel – from its wildlife inhabitants and rare plant species to its rich heritage and secret spots. We can focus solely on helping you become a SUP pro through detailed and technical instruction – learn at your own pace. Our instructors will also be there to introduce you to local wildlife, teach you about the interesting history of the River Gannel and answer any questions you may have about stand up paddle boarding.
