A Landmark Moment for Newquay’s Surf Community
We are absolutely stoked to announce that Newquay Activity Centre has been crowned Best Surf School at the UK Surf Awards 2025! The prestigious event took place during the UK Surfskate Expo from 12th – 14th September, hosted at Newquay Sports Centre, Concrete Wave Skate Park, and Fistral Beach. It was a historic celebration of British surfing, bringing the community together for the first time in over 15 years.
A Celebration of British Surfing Culture
The awards night, hosted by World Surf League commentator and UK surf personality Sam Bleakley, saw winners crowned across 12 categories, from top surfers to photographers and ambassadors. Over 3,500 public votes were cast between February and May, making this a true people’s choice celebration of the best in British surfing.
With a red carpet welcome, live music from DJ Uncle Funk, and local favourites Sharp’s Brewery and pasties fuelling the party, it was a night that perfectly blended prestige with coastal culture.
Recognition for 24 Years of Surf School Excellence
For us at Newquay Activity Centre, winning this award is about more than recognition – it’s a celebration of our 24-year journey delivering world-class surf lessons and ocean adventures. With our 25th anniversary just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better.
