We’re blessed with a beautiful coastline in Newquay and we believe there’s no better way to explore than on our super stand up paddle boards. Newquay’s shores boast rich marine life and captivating pirate tales in equal measure. Learn of tea-smuggling pirates, explore forgotten caves and discover local wildlife native to the south-west.

Our super stand up paddle boards are big enough to fit you and eight of your best buddies on, or you can book on as an individual and meet some epic like-minded people! Don’t worry if your friendship group outweighs the size of one super SUP, we have multiple super SUPs to choose from so bring as many friends as you like!

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

For your Super Stand Up Paddle Boarding in Cornwall adventure, we’ll kit you out in a top of the range wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and paddle from the comfort of our heated changing rooms. Your group will be led by our team of guides down to Newquay Bay where you’ll launch this awesome craft – all aboard!

We launch and land from two of Newquay’s lush, semi-secret coves. The start to experience is an adventure, as we walk down a rock path to the water’s edge. It’s worth it as the scenery is breath taking, there is some incredible coastal wildlife in the area, and you really are experiencing the best of Newquay’s coastal fringe. We take the walk down to the water slowly, the Super SUP will be waiting in the cove for you.

Our Super SUP Tour has been designed to teach you many core skills including how to launch and land, stand up and balance, hold your paddle, perform basic strokes and how to make directional changes as a team. It’s natural to begin your Super SUP Tour kneeling down on the board, many people do. Our instructors are there to guide you step-by-step. You’ll confidently progress from kneeling to standing, by the end of the lesson you’ll be a pro!

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE WAY TO ENJOY OUR COASTLINES!

Under the watchful eye of our expert instructor, you’ll work as a team to navigate craggy coastlines, cliffs, caves and currents. Throughout the tour, our passionate guides will be on hand to give you a fascinating insight into Newquay’s mythical past as well as helping you spot interesting marine wildlife.

After exploring Newquay’s coastal landscape and mastering some basic moves, you’ll moor up your Super SUP for a variety of hilariously fun games. These include the appropriately titled King of the SUP, Sumo SUP and, of course, a bit of classic SUP racing! With the games revealing some winners and some losers (but mostly some very wet contestants!) you’ll negotiate the swell to head back towards dry land. ENJOY THE CRYSTAL-CLEAR WATERS OF CORNWALL

In between the fun and games you will also have some ‘freestyle’ time to jump, flip, swim and splash your way around the Super SUP. You can admire the view, race your friends or simply be at one with the ocean. Depending on the tour and conditions, some guests may be snorkelling at this point. MAKING THE MOST OF NEWQUAY ACTIVITY CENTRE

After your Super SUP Tour we have hot outdoor showers and heated changing rooms for your convenience. We also have a well-equipped hire centre for all of your post-lesson needs. Get back out on the water with a SUP of your own, try an alternative paddle sport in a kayak, or enjoy the shoreline on a surfboard or bodyboard.

With safety at the forefront of our lessons, we must advise that children under the age of 8 are welcome to Super SUP with us, but they should be accompanied by an adult and join a Private or Family Super SUP Tour.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS EXTREME WEATHER?

We are super fortunate to operate many of our activities within the shelter of Towan beach. We choose the tide and weather times that deliver the very best conditions for Super Stand Up Paddleboard Tours. However, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature and sometimes she may have different plans for us. We always check the forecasted conditions but if the wind or swell picks up unexpectedly, we may need to change the time or location of your tour. Alternatively, we can move your booking onto a different activity, safe from unsuitable or dangerous SUP conditions.

Over 95% of our tours go ahead unaffected by the weather but, in the unlikely event that this does happen, we have excellent back-up options for you to choose from. If we need to amend your stand up paddle board booking due to adverse weather, we will let you know in advance. (No need to call us). We appreciate your understanding.
