SPECIALLY DESIGNED WITH KIDS IN MIND

Affectionately known as ‘The Gazzle’, our local headland has lots to explore and plenty to discover. Coastal nooks and crannies house history and wildlife as the water retreats and the intertidal zone is uncovered. Your kids and their instructor will explore areas not easily accessible by other means and get hands on with our local tidal pools in the ultimate coasteering adventure!

We designed this adventure so that young coastal adventurers don’t miss out on all the action!

FUN AND EDUCATIONAL

Newquay Activity Centre is situated just minutes from Towan Headland’s sheltered stretch of land. We’re perfectly positioned for the kids to get kitted out with top quality wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets before a short walk to the doors of adventure. Once kitted out and comfortable, they’ll be given tuition in coasteering techniques and safety skills!

Their personal coasteering instructors will lead them through smugglers caves, natural plunge pools and super fun rapids whilst exploring the local flora and fauna that call our natural ecosystem home.

HIDDEN SECRETS AND LOCAL WILDLIFE

Not only will your kids discover the Gazzle’s hidden secrets, but the local inquisitive wildlife are likely to greet them along the way too. Grey seals, local kittiwakes and even dolphins may share their route as they traverse between cliff base and rock pool. From here it’s time to leap into plunge pools from low rocky ledges and really experience the fun of coasteering!

Protecting and conserving our local marine habitat is one of our core values and it’s a great base from which to develop our activities. The themes of environmental sustainability and preservation will underpin every move your child and their guide make down on the Gazzle’s shores! Not only will your kids have the time of their life in a huge aquatic playground, they will also go home with a new-found passion for our coastal environment.
