Book either a half day or full day with us and get involved in a variety of exciting ocean-based activities designed especially for kids. Family holidays don’t get more adventurous than this so get ready for some serious fun! Pitched to suit all ages of your family group.

Invest in an unforgettable experience for your family and join our fantastic beach teachers to become an expert Fistral Ranger! This is hands-on fun for all ages with an educational focus and, what’s more, your family will have your own instructor for comprehensive 1:1 tuition!

Allow your children to explore beyond their natural boundaries and discover exciting coastal wildlife of all shapes and sizes. An early introduction to sea life could spur their passion for the environment and introduce new hobbies and interests.

We combine the skills of surfing, bodyboarding, eco coasteering, rock pooling and beach safety on the stunning shores of Newquay to create a family adventure like no other.

Fistral Rangers is an activity developed by Newquay Activity Centre and has been rolled out in schools throughout Cornwall as a 'Beach-School'. We let the coastal weather and sea state dictate the activities, however our instructors are fully qualified in delivering super-fun sessions in all weathers to embed ocean safety, heritage and wildlife lessons.

Amongst our experienced team of ISA instructors is beach expert Grant Woodhouse. Through games and adventure, your family will learn invaluable ocean skills and sea safety that’s impossible to forget!

Newquay Activity Centre takes ocean awareness seriously; we have the qualifications and experience to consistently maintain a high level of safety and fun whilst learning about the environment. We are a two-time Gold winner at the Cornwall Tourism Awards and a Gold award winner at the South West Tourism Awards. Our Family Fistral Ranger adventures in Newquay are days-out to remember!

With safety at the forefront of our lessons, we must advise that children under the age of 8 are joined by a parent or guardian during the session.

Our purpose-designed centre, conveniently located near Towan beach, is your one-stop shop for ocean adventure activities in Newquay. When you book with Newquay Activity Centre, you get the care, attention, knowledge and feedback that you need.

On site we have hot showers, heated changing rooms, lockers, separate male and female toilets and clothing storage. We also have a hire centre for all of your needs after your lesson. Extend your days fun and check out our hire equipment.
