Global review platform Tripadvisor has published a definitive list of the best beaches in Europe, which considering the many thousands of miles of coastline, must have been a hefty list to compile.
Unsurprisingly, Cornwall secured a place in the top cluster, with Newquay’s surf mecca Fistral Beach coming in at an impressive number 22 in Europe. Tripadvisor said: “This splendid beach offers excellent water for surfing and bodyboarding.” Fistral has been given a ‘Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best 2023’ award, getting rave reviews for its waves, rockpools and for being dog-friendly all year round.
